Foul Smell Coming From Woods Leads To Decomposing Body

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities are investigating after a partially decomposing body was found in a wooded area in central Florida.

Osceola County Sheriff’s detectives were called to the scene Saturday after the caretaker of a property in Kissimmee complained of a foul smell while he was mowing the lawn. The caretaker went searching for the source of the odor and stumbled upon the body.

Authorities are working with the medical examiner to help identify the individual and the cause of death.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crimeline at (800) 423-TIPS (8477).
