2 Pedestrians Struck By Car, Killed Crossing Road

COCOA BEACH, Fla. (AP) — Two pedestrians are dead after being struck by a pickup truck in Cocoa Beach.

Police say a man and a woman were trying to cross North Atlantic Avenue shortly before 10:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators say 33-year-old Robert Coffman was behind the wheel of a pickup truck that struck both pedestrians. He was not injured.

One of the pedestrians was taken to Cape Canaveral Hospital and the other transported to Holmes Regional Medical Center. Both died from their injuries. Their names have not been released.

The crash remains under investigation. No charges have been filed.
