(AUDIO) Kevin Kennedy Says Jeremy Hellickson Needs to Command His Fastball

Every Wednesday at 3:40pm the skipper Kevin Kennedy joins Booger and Rich to break your Tampa Bay Rays and every thing else in baseball.

Kennedy said that he isn’t worried that the Rays have peaked too early and said that Joe Maddon knows how to handle his team throughout an entire season.

Kennedy said that he likes Maddon’s managing style of rotating players in the lineup because it makes every player who comes to park have hope that they will be in the lineup that day. It helps through a 162 game season.

Jeremy Hellickson has been struggling lately and Kennedy said Hellickson always has issues with command when he’s struggling. He said he needs to focus on throwing more first pitch strikes and keeping his pitch count down. According to Kennedy, Hellickson is a much better pitcher than what he’s show recently. Kennedy told Booger and Rich that his fastball command will be key in the success of his career.
