Murti said that if you read the report by MLB, there were multiple years of PED use by A-Rod which leads to an issue with the appeals process because there is no precedent here. Does multiple years of use equate to a one-time violation or multiple violations? That’s the main question no one has seemed to conclusively answer.
With A-Rod’s camp ready to appeal the suspension, Murti says A-Rod has taken on an air of me against them but is forgetting that this all started with his PED use and admittance of PED use in 2009. Murti also noted that Rodriguez has never come out and said he’s innocent here leading to zero sympathy from MLB and fans alike.
The biggest issue here, according to Murti, is the money involved. Murti said that A-Rod’s primary motivation for appealing the suspension is the money he’ll lose from this 211 game suspension.
Despite the Yankees trying to void or get out of paying A-Rod over the course of his contract, Murti says there is no recourse and no way for them to get out of paying him the rest of his salary.
