Every Monday and Friday Scott Reynolds from Pewter Report joins Booger and Rich to talk about Bucs training camp.
Today Reynolds said there was little surprise on the Bucs depth chart today besides Brian Leonard being named the number two running back behind Doug Martin.
Reynolds also said that over the past couple of practices, Josh Freeman has been very sharp. He said despite learning new plays in camp, Freeman is coming on strong and should be motivated by a new contract.
As for injuries go, Reynolds said Carl Nicks’ return to practice was encouraging and said he and Davin Joseph could play if necessary right now. Adrian Clayborn is still out with a hamstring injury.
Reynolds said Peyton Hillis is on a learning curve and we should be able to judge his performance in the upcoming preseason games. He’s going to have to shine in those game to win the second or third running back spot according to Reynolds.
