US Air Force Member Indicted On Child Pornography Charges

PANAMA CITY, Fla. (AP) — A member of the U.S. Air Force is being charged with multiple child pornography charges.

The office of the U.S. Attorney announced Monday that a grand jury last week indicted 29-year-old Daniel Freiwald on three counts of child exploitation. Freiwald is stationed at Tyndall Air Force Base in the Panhandle.

Freiwald is accused of receiving and distributing child pornography images and videos between December 2012 and January 2013. He is also charged with possession of child pornography.

Freiwald has pleaded not guilty to the charges and is scheduled to go to trial in late September.

If convicted, Freiwald could be receive at least five years in prison for two of the counts.
