Police Locate Parents Of Boy Found On Street Alone

TAMPA, Fla. (AP) — Police have located the parents of a 4-year-old boy found walking alone near a Tampa intersection.

The child was found Saturday around 1 a.m. by a citizen who called police.

The boy was wearing a blue and white striped shirt, jeans and black shoes. Officers determined his name was Darius and that his parents were possibly Scooby and Wayne.

The Tampa Police Department asked for the public’s help early Saturday in locating his parents or legal guardian.

Officers found his home a short time later. The front door had been left opened while the boy was being taken care of by a baby sitter.
