Kevin Kennedy joined Rich Herrera and guest host Steve White to break down the Tampa Bay Rays and their last series against the Boston Red Sox.

Kennedy said rookie Wil Myers’ stance is similar to Evan Longoria’s and that stance gives you a lot of leverage. Kennedy compared Myers to Dodgers rookie Yasiel Puig, saying both swing early in the count and both are good enough to jump on early pitches.

Will Myers have the same long-term impact on the Rays’ lineup that Longoria has? Will he make national headlines like Puig did the week of his debut? All this remains to be seen. One thing we do know, the Rays sure need an injection of offense and hopefully, Myers will be the answer the recently struggling club has been looking for.
