As heard on The Current this past weekend, actor Gary Sinise and his Lt. Dan Band are coming to Tampa this weekend to put on an exciting concert for a great cause.

WHAT: Lt. Dan Band concert to benefit Sgt. Mike Nicholson

WHEN: Friday, May 10, 2013 – doors open at 6 PM, concert begins at 7

WHERE: Curtis Hixon Park, 700 North Ashley Drive, Tampa

The Gary Sinise Foundation and the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation have come together to present these benefit concerts around the country. The proceeds from the Tampa show will go to benefit our hometown hero Sgt. Mike Nicholson, a native of South Tampa who was severely injured in Afghanistan. Mike will receive a new custom-built “smart house” that will help him, as a triple-amputee, live a better life after his courageous sacrifice. You can hear more about the concert, the smart home and Sgt. Nicholson on the May 4th edition of The Current.

So bring the whole family to Curtis Hixon Park in Tampa and celebrate a hometown hero this Friday!
