Woman Calls 911 To Get Money Back From Drug Dealer

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – A woman was arrested after she reportedly called 911 to request police assistance in getting her money back from a drug dealer.

According to the Tampa Bay Times, local resident Katrina Tisdale dialed the emergency service Monday night after she spent $50 on marijuana and cocaine.

During the two calls she made that evening, she reportedly claimed that she had been the victim of a theft. When local authorities responded around 9:30 p.m., she explained that she wanted them to help her get her $50 back from the dealer.

Police told the paper that Tisdale had second thoughts regarding the purchase after realizing the transaction left her broke until her next social security disability check arrived.

Her plan backfired – Tisdale was arrested and charged with misusing the 911 system. She had reportedly faced the same charge before in July of 2011.

The Times learned that Tisdale was taken to the Pinellas County Jail, and remained there Tuesday night in lieu of a $100 bail. The 47-year-old woman had reportedly received jail time and had to pay fines during her first 911-related incident.
