How We Can Help Victims of the Boston Marathon Tragedy

Many people who participate in events like the Boston Marathon do so to raise funds. Some of the racers on Monday were raising money for the Newton Strong Fund. The Newton Strong Fund helps the victims siblings by paying for their education.

Here are some ways that you can help:

•The Red Cross says the best way to help right now is to get in touch with loved ones through its Safe And Well Listings. The organization is not asking for blood donations at this time, but you can certainly contact the Red Cross to schedule an appointment to donate blood in the future.

•The Salvation Army is offering food, beverages and crisis counseling to survivors and first responders. Find out how you can get involved here.

•Some of the marathon runners are stuck in Boston. They are in need of lodging. If you can help, please visit this site.

•If you have information about the bombing call 1-800-494-TIPS.
