Mega Pet Adoption To Help Hundreds Of Animals

MIAMI (AP) — A mega pet adoption in Miami will help hundreds of homeless pets find a home.

Miami-Dade Animal Services, Humane Society of Greater Miami and The Cat Network teamed up with rescue groups from all over South Florida to hold the marathon adoption on Saturday. Last spring’s Mega Match-a-thon found homes for 288 animals, and the 24 Hour Mega Pet Adoption Event last October united 438 pets with new families.

Alex Munoz with animal services says the goal is to match families with their new best furry friend.

The event is sponsored by the ASPCA and is being held at Tropical Park.
