Late Saturday night Tampa Bay Lightning Head Coach Guy Boucher was informed by GM Steve Yzerman that his services with the team were no longer required.

Just days later, the Lightning had found Boucher’s replacement, AHL affiliate Syracuse Crunch Head Coach Jon Cooper.

Cooper was named AHL Coach of the Year in 2012 and won the Calder Cup with the Norfolk Admirals that same season.

Steve Yzerman joined Booger and Rich to discuss the dismissal of Boucher as well as the decision to bring Jon Cooper up from Syracuse.
