Prediction Machine: Pitt One Of The Favorites To Make Final Four

PITTSBURGH (93-7 The Fan) – Paul Bessire, better known by the name of his simulation program, “The Prediction Machine,” joined The Fan Morning Show on Wednesday to offer the machine’s advice for filling out brackets this year.

Bessire’s machine is extremely high on Pitt, and gives the Panthers a 12 percent chance of winning the West regional and making the Final Four, with only top seeds Gonzaga and Ohio State having a better shot of doing so.

He added that Pitt is “one of the better eight seeds we’ve probably ever seen.”

The machine has Pitt winning 67-59 over Wichita State in the opening round and then losing 68-65 to Gonzaga.

However, Bessire feels that the Panthers would have a great shot of winning that game, and he explained that their road to the Final Four will probably become much easier should they get past the Bulldogs.

Bessire’s Pitt outlook and a plethora of his invaluable bracket-filling advice can be heard here!
