Buccaneers corner Eric Wright has lost his grievance case against the team, according to Roy Cummings of the Tampa Tribune.
Wright and the NFLPA filed a grievance against the Buccaneers for voiding Wright’s $7.75 million guaranteed salary for the 2013 season. Wright claimed that his contract protected him from the Buccaneers’ ability to void his contract, but the NFL ruled against him.
This means that the Buccaneers can now cut Wright with no financial penalty.
The contract was voided by the Buccaneers because of Wright’s 4 game suspension for Adderall use last season.
