Vinny Lecavalier Out With a Lower Body Injury

Tampa Bay Lightning captain Vinny Lecavalier is out indefinitely with a lower body injury and is expected to go on IR.

There’s speculation as to whether this stems from a knee injury Lecavalier suffered against the Canadiens on Saturday or if it was from a hit he took late in Tuesday’s game against the Panthers.

Head Coach Guy Boucher says that this injury is unrelated to any previous injuries Lecavalier has suffered.

Boucher also mentioned that center Tyler Johnson will take Lecavalier’s place in the lineup.

Lecavalier will be out for a minimum of 7 days.

Tune in for more details.
