The WBC seemed to generate more interest (at least in the United States) after the bench-clearing brawl in the Canada VS Mexico game. Then when Team USA matched up with Canada they got behind and were actually five outs away from being done (and putting them in the disappointing position of not automatically qualifying for WBC in 2017).

Team USA defeats Peurto Rico and moves on to face the Dominican Republic.
