Actions speak louder than words.
The Buccaneers have stated publicly that they’d like Ronde Barber to return in 2013, but he will not be returning as a safety.
According to former Buccaneer Booger McFarland, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers have an agreement in principle with safety Dashon Goldson formerly of the San Francisco 49ers.
Known as a big hitter in the secondary, Goldson has been a pro bowler the past two years and a first team All Pro in 2012.
Terms of the deal are not yet known.
Goldson, 28, will team with Mark Barron to form a fearsome duo at safety for years to come.
