As impressed as you might be by Curtis Granderson’s accomplishments as a baseball player (3-time MLB All-Star, 2-time leader in MLB in triples…), you’ll be even more overwhelmed by his impressive actions outside of baseball. Granderson makes giving back and helping today’s youth a top priority.
It starts with his Grand Kids Foundation, the mission of which is to improve the educational experience for youth across the nation, as well as help re-establish baseball opportunities for inner city kids. And Granderson donates money he earns himself (through his own endorsement and equipment deals) to inner city educational programs.
The Yankees center fielder doesn’t just talk the talk…Not only does he preach the importance of education to kids, but Granderson is one of only 26 Major League Baseball players and coaches with a four-year college degree (data as of 2009). And check out the children’s book he’s written.
On Monday, we were thrilled to have him as our guest on the Kirk and Dinger Morning show to promote “The Patio Presents Curtis Granderson,” which will be held Friday, March 15th from 5 P.M. to 10 P.M. Come out and support this great endeavor! Check out the interview…
