MONTVERDE, Fla. (CBS Tampa) - A local man is in prison after he was found to be in possession of child pornography – by his own son.

The Orlando Sentinel is reporting that the 16-year-old boy found the pornography and reported his findings to his church’s youth leader.

After the son’s disclosure, which took place Thursday, the church leader reportedly spoke with the boy’s 49-year-old father on the matter.

The pastor told authorities with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office that the man confessed, and decided to turn himself in.

He did so Friday, and after deputies examined his hard drive, he was put into Lake County Jail and held on a $400,000 bond, the paper learned.

Deputies informed the Sentinel that the man claimed to have a problem with child pornography that began during his teenage years, and that he had images that showed children as young as 1 year old in his collection.

The man is now facing 200 counts of possession of child pornography.
