POLK COUNTY, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Polk County detectives arrest two men on charges of downloading and trading child pornography.

Police say Edward Freiberger, 67, gave a full confession but said he did not realize it was illegal to download child pornography.

The other man arrested was 46-year-old Thomas Wheeler, who police say was a security guard at Disney World’s Animal Kingdom.

“The graphic images discovered in this investigation were not just images of children without clothes, these images are horrific displays of children being forced to expose their genitals, forced to perform sexual acts, and images of children being raped,” Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd told WFTV.

According to the station, police say Wheeler confessed to watching child porn for several years out of curiosity and that he enjoyed it because of the “innocence” of children.

Tips received from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children help lead detectives to Freiberger.

The station also reports that police found 15 high-powered rifles, shotguns, and handguns from Freiberger’s home.

Both men were booked into the Polk County Jail.
