Deputies Search For Missing Boater Near Bradenton

BRADENTON, Fla. (CBS Tampa/AP) — Deputies are searching for a Bradenton man who is missing, along with his 16-foot boat Stump Knocker.

The Bradenton Herald reports Patrick Mullins was reported missing Sunday night by his wife. She told deputies she returned home about 7 p.m. and Mullins was gone.

According to deputies, Mullins’ brother searched for him and when he didn’t turn up, they called authorities. The Manatee County Sheriff’s Office began searching but was unable to locate him Sunday night.

According to the paper, the family set up a command center at their home, with volunteers helping out during the search.

No further details were immediately available.
