Orlando Cops Search For Armed Woman Barricaded In Business

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Authorities are evacuating Orlando businesses after an armed woman who may be suicidal allegedly barricaded herself into a building.

Orange County Sheriff’s deputies responded to the call Saturday afternoon. A deputy approached the woman and saw that she was armed.

The deputy said he introduced himself to the woman and later fired shots at her, saying he feared for his life. It’s unclear what prompted the shooting and whether she was injured.

Deputies said the unidentified woman ran into a building. Authorities are searching the area.
