FORT MYERS, Fla. (AP) — Authorities say Lee County Sheriff’s deputies shot and killed a man following an early-morning altercation at a bar near Fort Myers.
Deputies responded to Cadillac Jack’s around 2 a.m. Friday after receiving a call about the disturbance. Once there, the learned the suspect had fled.
The Fort Myers News-Press (http://newspr.es/VCmsew ) reports deputies found the vehicle along U.S. 41, conducted a traffic stop and came in contact with the man, who was armed. Shot were exchanged and the man was killed.
No deputies were injured.
An investigation is under way. No further details were immediately available.
