WESTON, Fla. (AP) — A crash that sent four South Florida bicyclists to the hospital remains under investigation.
The Broward Sheriff’s Office says the bicyclists were part of a group that was struck by a car Saturday morning on U.S. 27 in Weston.
Sheriff’s office spokeswoman Dani Moschella said one of the injured bicyclists was airlifted to a hospital. The three other bicyclists also were hospitalized. Moschella says two of the bicyclists were “trauma alerts.”
U.S. 27 was briefly closed while a helicopter landed to airlift one bicyclist to a hospital.
