A miracle on Cleveland street in Clearwater is about to happen. Downtown Clearwater is schedule to get 12 tons of snow dumped on the streets for the 5th year-in-a-row this Friday, Dec. 7, 2012.
Downtown Clearwater’s Cleveland Street District will be transformed into a winter wonderland complete with two toboggan slides, holiday crafts, live music and a visit from Santa. Every half hour, snow will fall in front of the Capitol Theater and the sounds of Christmas choirs will fill the streets. The festivities will extend from the 400 block of Cleveland Street down to the waterfront. This FREE holiday festival will feature a variety of vendors, as well as food, beer, wine, non-alcoholic beverages and plenty of holiday cheer.
The street fair begins at 5:30 pm with entertainment outside until 10 pm plus three free screenings of the modern Christmas classic Elf in the Capitol Theatre. Miracle on Cleveland Street is proudly presented by Bright House Networks and Morgan Stanley, supported by the City of Clearwater, the Cleveland Street District and the Downtown Development Board and produced by Ruth Eckerd Hall On The Road.
The festival and the parking is free.
