TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Tallahassee police are searching for a man they say opened fire in a parking lot at a local Wal-Mart on Black Friday.
Two people were reportedly wounded after a dispute over a parking space turned violent during the highly anticipated shopping day. The victims were not fatally injured.
Authorities are still searching for the shooter whose attack brought police to the scene Friday afternoon.
Kollet Probst, a shopper who was waiting in line when gunshots rang out, told the Tallahassee Democrat that panicked shoppers fled the scene of the shooting as fast as possible.
“[A] crowd ran into the store from the parking lot and ducked for cover,” she added the paper. “Everybody started trying to find a place to hide.”
Another witness said he heard about four shots fired when he spoke with the Democrat.
A spokesman from the retail giant said they are working with police to help find the person responsible.
