So your little one wants to help you make something special for the holiday?

While you have to leave the turkey making to the adults, we’ve found three fun and easy recipes that the kiddies can handle with a little supervision.

Apple Stuffing Muffins

No turkey day meal is complete without a little stuffing. For this fruity style from Parenting.com, they ask for “cubed pieces of bread,” but we say let the kids help by ripping the bread into small pieces while you’re busy dicing your apples and onions.

Once you’ve chopped up all of your ingredients and added a 1/4 cup of apple juice, along with a 1-1/4 cup chicken broth, your little helper can start stirring.

After it’s all mixed have them fill a muffin tin with your concoction. Once they’re out your kids can rave about how much they helped with the Thanksgiving feast.

Chocolate & Peanut Butter Acorns

These easy (and super adorable) cookies, courtesy of the blog Six in the Suburbs, require a bag of Hershey’s kisses and a pack or two of bite-size Nutter Butter cookies. If your child is allergic to peanuts, we recommend you buy another bite-size cookie or roll out some frozen sugar cookie dough and make your own mini-cookies.

Using a little bit of melted chocolate you can glue the flat side of the Kisses to the bottom of the cookie. For a little added flair, dab a bit of melted chocolate on top of the cookie for a little stem.

Display these cookies in a bowl for an interesting centerpiece.

OREO Turkeys

This one is a little more advanced, but with a little help from mom or dad your little one with have an edible art project.

Follow the step-by-step directions on OurBestBites.com and voila you have a turkey-themed dessert perfect for any age.

This one’s definitely a little more time consuming and could be a little frustrating for especially young children. We suggest you don’t leave this for Thanksgiving morning or you might have some cranky little ones on your hands.

What are some of your favorite Thanksgiving recipes to make with your kids?
