Another unbeaten fell on Saturday night. The #2 Oregon Ducks lost to the #13 Stanford Cardinals in overtime 17-14. A late TD pass from Stanford QB Kevin Hogan to TE Zach Ertz in the 4th quarter was first called incomplete but, after review, was overturned and the Cardinals took the game into overtime.
Oregon’s Alejandro Maldonado missed a 41 yard field goal during the Ducks first and only possesion of OT. Stanford’s Jordan Williamson nailed a 37 yard field goal to give the Cardinals a huge road win.
The BCS race is now wide open with both #1 Kansas State and #2 Oregon losing this weekend. This is the third time in BCS history that the top two teams lost in the same weekend.
