The Tampa Bay Buccaneers did not reach the requisite 85% of tickets sales by today’s NFL deadline. This means that yet again, fans in television markets within 75 miles of the stadium will not see the game.
So far this season, the Bucs have only been able to beat the blackout rule for one game (vs the New Orleans Saints). While there’s no word about the home game against the division rival Atlanta Falcons, team officials are optimistic that the December 9th game against the Philadelphia Eagles will sell out.
For the record: the Buccaneers have been blacked out in 17 of their last 20 home games.
