DEBARY, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Officials are not joking around with one Florida dentist.
The state has reportedly suspended Dr. Sharon O’Steen’s license while investigators look into allegations that she inhaled nitrous oxide – laughing gas – in front of patients before dental procedures.
O’Steen’s son told WKMG-TV that she had attempted to address the problem by closing her offices in June to seek help for her drug addiction.
Rehab reportedly did not help, however. The Department of Health additionally told the station that she returned to work in August after treatment failed to work.
Officials allegedly issued an emergency suspension, as they felt O’Steen could potentially be a danger to her patients.
