Tweet Beat: Musicians Take On Hurricane Sandy

This week the East Coast suffered while in the path of Hurricane Sandy. Thousands were hit with powerful winds and rain and many musicians found themselves in the middle of the storm as well. Here’s a Twitter breakdown from some artists who suffered through Hurricane Sandy and others who sent well wishes.

It’s no secret that Lady Gaga is a New Yorker and she took to Twitter to express her frustrations with the hurricane and wishes to be “in the rain” with her family and friends.

Rita Ora on the other hand was stuck in New York during the hurricane and wishes she was elsewhere.

Meanwhile, the pop stars who were far away from the storm shared their concerns.

Former Season 7 American Idol contestant Josiah Leming found himself in the middle of the storm and live Tweeted some photos.

Meanwhile, New Kids On the Block’s Donnie Wahlberg was caught in Sandy’s path, but let fans know he was okay.

Everyone from Carrie Underwood and Gavin DeGraw to Matchbox Twenty’s Rob Thomas, Karmin and the boys of the Wanted also shared their well wishes to those trapped in the storm.
