President Clinton Stumps At Florida Rally

ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — Former President Bill Clinton called Florida”Exhibit A for the 21st Century economy” while touting President Barack Obama’s plans for the economy, education and energy in making a case for his re-election during a campaign event at the University of Central Florida.

Clinton was the keynote speaker at Monday’s rally at the Orlando school, and was originally supposed to only introduce President Obama. Obama cancelled his appearance to remain in Washington to monitor Hurricane Sandy from the White House.

Clinton called Obama’s plan for student loans reason for students to re-elect the president alone.

He also highlighted UCF’s efforts in being a leader in computer science programs, which he said helped build Orlando’s tourism industry and will continue to be a centerpiece of the nation’s economy going forward.
