PALM BAY, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Being thankful for jail-provided bologna sandwiches is one thing, but calling 911 six times to express such gratitude is not looked upon kindly by police.
Christine Lee Brown, 51, was arrested Saturday after she placed six calls to 911, each of the time talking about how she wanted to have a bologna sandwich in jail.
WKMG in Orlando reports that police in Brevard County met Brown at her window as she was talking to a 911 operator. For each call, Brown kept 911 operators on the line by talking about having a bologna sandwich provided by the Brevard County Jail Complex.
Brown was charged with misuse of 911 communications. WKMG reports that Brown is being held at the Brevard County Jail Complex on $3,000 bond. A court date has yet to be determined.
No word on whether she’s had the chance to have a bologna sandwich.
