Man Shot In Hand During Dispute With Neighbor Over Girlfriend

LARGO, Fla. (AP) — Pinellas County sheriff’s deputies are looking for a man who they say shot his neighbor in the hand during a dispute over a girlfriend.

A sheriff’s office report says 47-year-old Tommy “Buzz” Preston shot 51-year-old Johnny Holdcroft in the left hand following a dispute over the attention he was giving Preston’s girlfriend. Deputies say the three had been drinking Saturday evening.

Preston left the scene after the shooting. Holdcroft was taken to thehospital with non-life threatening injuries. All three were neighbors.

Deputies have recovered the gun but are still looking for Preston.
