Tampa (TBO.com) – Community leaders will present a resolution naming October 20th, 2012 Lee Roy Selmon Day in the city of Tampa to Selmon’s widow, Claybra Selmon.
The Buccaneers’ Hall of Fame defensive lineman and former USF athletic director passed a year ago at the age of 56 of complications resulting from a stroke.
Representatives from the University of South Florida, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Lee Roy Selmons’ restaurants and the Tampa Expressway Authority will be on hand at One Buc Place October 19th to honor the late Tampa icon and to announce a new partnership between the restaurants that bear his name and the University he worked tirelessly for.
