Gotye’s “Somebody I That Used To Know” has been covered by choirs, metal bands, children, dogs, cats, and just about every living, breathing mammal on the planet. Moved by the shear number of high-quality tributes, Gotye even went so far as to create a remix video of all the YouTube covers, titled “Somebodies: A YouTube Orchestra. “
Not to be outdone by humans, a gaggle of outdated computer parts have banded together to perform their own unique version of the soon-to-be classic.
The star of the production is a mild-mannered HP Scanjet 3C, leading the vocals. With bandmates an Amiga 600 on bass and guitar, 2 hard drives on percussion and a PIC16F84A-microcontrolled xylophone, the group is sure to put a smile on any garage tinkerer’s face.
Says one YouTube viewer, “Now you’re just some printer that I used to know.”
