RIVIERA BEACH, Fla. (CBS Tampa) - Police have caught the man suspected of robbing a local McDonald’s restaurant while wearing a mask made in the likeness of President Barack Obama.
The Florida Sun-Sentinel is reporting that 22-year-old Marvin McTeare was apprehended Wednesday in relation to the Jan. 28 incident.
McTeare was also said to be wearing black clothing and while gloves, and was wielding a gun during the crime.
He reportedly forced employees into a back office, then made the manager remove money from the safe and place it in a cloth bag.
Authorities with the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office have not yet released information regarding the investigation.
They did however disclose that, when the identity of the masked man was discovered, they also learned he was already in police custody for another robbery.
McTeare will now reportedly face additional charges for armed robbery and grand theft.
