Police: Man Calls 911 For Sex For Second Time

DOVER, Fla. (CBS TAMPA) — Police say a Dover man purposefully called 911 for sexual gratification.

Tampa authorities tell the Sun Sentinel that Joshua Basso made several X-rated calls to 911 on Aug. 24 and asked female deputies to come to his house for sex.

Police charged him with seven counts of making false 911 calls.

This isn’t the first time for Basso to be arrested for the same thing. The Sun Sentinel reports that he was arrested in 2009 for the same thing.

In the call that was released by authorities for the 2009 incident, Basso asked for explicit details from the 911 operator and could be heard masturbating on the call.

In his previous arrest he said he called 911 because his phone was out of minutes and he “called 911 because it was free.”
