Police: Man Assaults Brother With Styrofoam Plate

FORT WALTON BEACH, Fla. (CBS Tampa) — Police arrest a man last Friday for allegedly assaulting his brother with a Styrofoam plate.

He now faces charges in relation to the attack.

The altercation began when the man, while talking with his brother, began to make disparaging remarks about his mother, the Northwest Florida Daily News reports.

As the argument escalated, one of the brothers allegedly struck the other in the face with a nearby Styrofoam plate.

An arrest report written by a deputy of the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office and obtained by the newspaper notes that several small cuts were left on the face of the injured brother by the disposable tableware.

The man now faces misdemeanor battery charges, and will reportedly be seen in court on Sept. 4.
