Tarpon Springs Hippie Fest & Food Truck Rally

Downtown Tarpon Springs and the Sponge Docks
It’s the 43rd anniversary Woodstock and to celebrate you can channel the inner hungry Hippie in you at this North Pinellas event. There will be plenty of 70’s themed fun including a VW Bug Show, vendors, raffles, giveaways, live 70’s music, beer & wine and a food truck rally.
Dog Days of Summer
Saturday Aug. 18 | 11 am – 3 pm
1141 Michigan Boulevard | Dunedin, FL
Join dog owners and their pets at Highlander Park in Dunedin for a fun family event. The free activities include a “Fast and Furrious” Dog costume contest with participants and winners receiving prizes, a FiOS speed and agility course, free dog cooling station with fans and water bowels, plus a green screen photo or tablet App photo of your dog.

Free Back-to-School Physicals & Shots
The first day of school for Pinellas, Pasco and Hernando Counties is Monday, Aug 20. Hillsborough County schools go back one day later on Tuesday, Aug. 21, 2012. Get you kids ready for the big day.

Back-To-School Fair: Free backpacks, Haircuts
Free Back 2 School Jam

1,000 free backpacks will be given out. One backpack per child. Supplies are limited. Backpacks will be available for children age 4-18 or pre-k through 12th grade. Other activities for you and the kids include free gently used clothing, groceries for you to take home, free haircuts, food and lots of activities and games. The event is free and open to the public.
