Casting Call: Extras Needed For Movie To Be Filmed In Tampa Bay

TAMPA, Fla. (CBS TAMPA) – If you’ve ever wanted to be an extra in a movie without moving to Hollywood here’s your chance locally to make it onto the silver screen. Producers for a feature film that will begin shooting in the Tampa Bay area later this month are looking for background extras that are 18 years of age or older.

The project is called “Chu & Blossom” and it stars Ryan O’Nan, Charles Chu, Alan Cumming, Chris Marquette, Chris McDonald and its being directed by Gavin Kelly and Charles Chu. The film is about a young man from Korea, who comes to study in the U.S. and ends up in a small southern town where he stands out due to his race and height.

The casting director is looking for college-age individuals who look like they could be in high school. The casting agents are also looking for men, women and families. Although this is a non-paying-gig it is your chance to be on a real movie-set with Hollywood stars, producers and directors.
