ORLANDO, Fla. (CBS Tampa) — Disney World wasn’t “the happiest place on Earth” for one family.
According to multiple reports, witnesses told Orange County authorities they saw 41-year-old Dario Napolitano kick his 3-year-old son in the face at Epcot Center last Saturday after he argued with his wife and children.
The child suffered a cut below his left eye and it was also swollen.
According to a police report obtained by Central Florida News 13, Napolitano and his wife blamed their oldest son for the incident.
According to the police report obtained by the station, the Napolitanos say the father yelled twice at the older son to stop, then the older son threw the younger bro out of the stroller. Then, the report says, “He went up to his son [the older son] and slapped him twice across the face because he hurt his brother.”
Witnesses give a different account, and park visitors were shocked as to what happened.
“It doesn’t matter if he was at Disney or if he was in church,” John Cissio told WFTV. “If he’s going to kick his son in the face, there’s something wrong with him.”
Napolitano was charged with child abuse and released on $2,000 bond.
