(AP – Rays starter David Price (11-4) and closer Fernando Rodney (22 saves) are Tampa Bay’s All-Star selections in voting revealed Sunday afternoon, live on TBS. They were voted onto the squad by fellow players. It’s the third straight selection for Price and the first ever for Rodney. Price, who left Friday night’s start against the Tigers after seven innings because of lower back tightness, threw a bullpen session. He expects to make his next scheduled start on Wednesday afternoon at 3:10 against the Yankees, who begin a three-game series Monday night at 7:10 p.m. at Tropicana Field.. Said Rays manager Joe Maddon: “I’m really pleased. We all felt David would make it. I’m really pleased Fernando made it also. I think he truly deserves it. It’s great that we’re going to be represented this way.”
