Police Say Florida Man Dragged Officer Along Car

PLANT CITY, Fla. (AP) — A 33-year-old central Florida man has been arrested after police say he allegedly dragged an officer along the side of his car during a traffic stop.

Plant City Police pulled over Kevin Dubose on Saturday in connection with a criminal mischief and domestic disturbance investigation.

Police said Dubose appeared to be intoxicated and refused to answer the officer’s questions. He tried to put the car in drive, but Officer DeeDee Gregory reached through the window and attempted to turn off the car. Dubose allegedly grabbed her arm, pinned it to the steering wheel and sped off. Police said Gregory was dragged about 10-feet. She was not injured. Dubose eventually crashed the car.

Dubose was hospitalized and has been charged with aggravated battery on a law enforcement officer.
