KISSIMMEE, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Police have arrested a homeless man they say stole a golf cart at knife-point at a nudist colony as he was trying to run from a robbery he allegedly committed at a local Lowe’s.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office say Milton Hodges, 20, is in custody and is being charged with attempted armed robbery, attempted battery, and burglary.

On Wednesday, Hodges allegedly held a pair of silver scissors against the neck of one of the Lowe’s cashiers, according to a press release by the sheriff’s department. The cashier was able to break free and get help while Hodges went to another cashier and demanded money.

Police say that witnesses chased Hodges until he jumped the wall into the Cypress Cove community and stole a golf cart.

Hodges remains in custody at the Osceola County Jail.
