Police: Man Took Pictures Of Himself Having Sex With Girlfriend’s Dog

CLEARWATER, Fla. (CBS TAMPA/AP) — Clearwater authorities say a man arrested for possessing child pornography and having sex with a dog had worked at the Humane Society of Pinellas, where his girlfriend is the society’s medical director.

Eric Antunes, 29, was charged Tuesday with 10 counts of possessing child pornography.

He was released on bond Thursday. An additional misdemeanor animal cruelty charge was referred to the Pinellas-Pasco State Attorney’s Office for possible prosecution.

Clearwater Public Communications Director Joelle Castelli says police do not have evidence that Williamson was aware Antunes was taking photos of himself engaged in sex acts with her pit-bull mix.

“We cannot prove that she had any knowledge of this going on,” Castelli told the Tampa Bay Times. “My understanding is that she did not know it was happening, and we showed her pictures.”

Officials say Antunes is the live-in boyfriend of Pinellas Humane Society Medical Director Katerina Williamson and worked at the shelter last fall.

Twila Cole, director of development at the Humane Society, said that Antunes was employed only as a contract worker and did mostly maintenance work.

“He was never on the property working unsupervised,” Cole told the Times.

Detectives found nine photos and an explicit video of children during their investigation, including “several images of bestiality” on his cell phone, according to the Times.

Antunes is being held at the Pinellas County Jail.
