TAMPA, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – An 18-year-old is accused of burning down his mother’s house after arguing with her about a cell phone, Tampa police say.
Aldwin Chrystian Caceres was arrested on Sunday after pouring gasoline on two couches and his mother’s bed at her home and lighting them on fire. No one was injured in the blaze that destroyed the house located at 9411 17th Street North.
The 6-foot, 275-pound teen lives with his mother. On Saturday, the two argued about a cell phone and Caceres grabbed his mother’s wrists and head-butted her twice, police say.
Caceres was arrested and charged with domestic violence battery and first-degree arson. He is being held in the Hillsborough County Jail without bail.
