TAMPA, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – Word to Tampa nightclub patrons: Biting a uniformed security guard at the club may ruin the night.
Take Clemente Maldonado Barron, for example. Barron, 30, was arrested early Sunday after he allegedly bit a security guard at Club Sensacion, a Latin night spot near the University area of Tampa. Details of what led to the incident were not disclosed in the arrest affidavit from the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office.
Whatever it was that caused the altercation, Barron left his mark. The guard had a visible bite mark on the right side of his body as well as bruising and redness, according to the Tampa Bay Times. Shortly after the incident, Barron would resist arrest, pulling his arms away from police as they were attempting to handcuff him.
Barron has been charged with aggravated battery on a specified officer as well as resisting an officer without violence. Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office records indicate that Barron remains in custody and is being held on $15,500 bail.
Barron’s alleged biting incident isn’t his first run-in with the law. He was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in 2005 and was found in 2006 for driving without a valid driver’s license, according to police records.
