ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. (CBS Tampa) – If you live in the Tampa Bay area and always dreamed of being in a movie, your chance to break into Hollywood is this Wednesday.

500 more bathing suit clad college type extras are needed Wednesday, March 21 for the Selena Gomez movie currently being filmed on St. Pete Beach in Tampa Bay’s Pinellas County.

Because this SAG film centers on spring break situations, casting agents are looking for locals extras that have that “Spring Break” college look. They are seeking men and women who are comfortable in swimsuit attire and full of energy. You must look 18-25 years-of age and be legally over 18 to apply as an extra for this project.

This dark and edgy new film is about four female college students who pay for their spring break trip by robbing a restaurant, and end up getting busted.  Academy Award nominated actor James Franco plays a rapping drug dealer who bails the girls out and persuades them to help kill his rival. Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine will play the four college girls.

Mattox Gardener, the local cast director, told CBS Tampa that “anyone legally between the ages of 18-25 that is available this Wednesday is encouraged to be part of the exciting major motion picture”. Gardener said “the scene being shot on Wednesday is a major moment in the film, it’s a party scene and it will show how wild and exciting Spring Break can be.” He added that “the extras will be needed this Wednesday for at least 12 hours of filming”
